Cross Play — play through a letter on the board
Your best word often isn't on your rack — it's the one that plays through a letter already on the board. Enter your tiles, then a pattern: the board letter(s) typed in place, a . for each open slot the word fills from your rack. The word may extend past the pattern on either side unless you pin an end.
How scoring works here
- Board letters (blue tiles in the results) count at face value and use none of your rack.
- Premium squares apply only to rack tiles you place on them this turn — exactly like a real board.
- A letter played from a blank tile scores 0, premium or not, and shows purple.
- Emptying a full 7-tile rack through the cross is still a bingo: +50 (Scrabble) or +35 (WWF), included and labeled.
